My name is Paul DeSensi I am the CEO of VP&D. I broke into the construction industry 20 years ago as a roofer. I worked with my father in law who owned his own company and learned many aspects of roofing and roofing repair. I worked in this field for two years. The next job I took was as a Painter. I worked on the road for 1 year with Cross Country Painting doing repaints of Denny's restaurants an
d Rent ways. While on the road I received very intense training in the painting trade. I learned the extreme importance of proper preparation. I worked hard at learning to do clean and efficient prep work. Shortly after I was promoted and learned to brush/ roll and spray. I returned to my family in Orlando and had decided that Painting was the trade for me. I work with several contractors honing my skills and learning the secrets of the trade. One of the contractors that I ended up working for was a mural artist and faux finisher, I picked the art of faux finishing and color matching up from him. Shortly after I decided to strike out on my own and I have been working for myself since. Being in the Painting field I have crossed paths with just about every trade and spent considerable time learning their arts. My skill set includes: Master Painter, drywall, texture, minor carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing, tile/hardwood/laminate flooring and roof repair. The family owned and operated aspect of the company started about 2 years ago when my wife had decided that our four children were at an age she was able to re enter the workforce. Having 4 children ranging from ages of 8 to 17, she felt the construction workload would be a relief, I agreed after knowing the hard work that it takes to manage children as I had been the manager of girls softball for 4 years with little league, 2 years travel ball with Central Florida Sting and 1 year wrestling with the Florida JETS. Since then my father in law that I have fore mentioned has come to live with the family, he is semi retired and not only does he help with the children but his 35 years + experience in construction is a tremendous addition to the company. We have experience with homeowners, contractors, builders, investors and property management companies. I have to say in closing that Painting is still my trade of choice but VP&D is certainly capable of meeting your remodeling and handyman needs. We are licensed and insured and can provide references and additional photos upon request. Please feel free to contact me at 407-924-7825. Sincerely,
Paul DeSensi
