As a part of my summer internship with MacBeth Photography, experimentation and spur-of-the moment ideas are encouraged.

With the recent launch of the next generation MacBook Pro, I couldn't help but be inspired by Apple's iconic minimal and isolated product shots.

To achieve these shots, we turned off all the lights in our all black studio and "painted" with light. Believe it or not, our light sources were the LED from an iPhone 4S, or the screen on an iPad or iPod touch.

Very very pleased with the results and looking forward to revisiting this technique with more subjects and projects!
