An update on today’s Run The Weekend event, thank you, and everything in between.
We raised over $300 for To Write Love on Her Arms and passed 3k as a whole since I began fundraising a few months back. That’s 3k raised to literally help others get access to mental health resources.
When I committed to running on their 2026 New York City marathon team I didn’t know what to expect.
Not knowing what to expect has been most of my life at this point. I’ve spent 13 years doing freelance projects and every day I throw things at the wall and a lot of times,
Somehow they stick.
A year ago I started “Run The Weekend” with my friend markangelo.jpg and somehow, a year later we are still doing events.
I just want to say, if you have a goal or any dreams, put them out into the world. Show up and keep showing up.
Tonight’s event was amazing. Strangers and friends from all walks of life showed up. We ran together. We made ice cream. We watched a film. We talked.
Thank you to SMOKE & DONUTS BBQ for hosting tonight’s event.
Thank you to Cinnabar and Hoka Orlando Run Club and It’s Ya Gurl, Phat Ash and Sampaguita Filipino - American Ice Cream and Michael Æther Cole and NÜRA Chiropractic | Orlando for all showing up and sharing your time and talent.
And thank you to my friend Jonathan Michael for creating the idea of an “ice cream social” and wanting to see it come to life to bring together community and raise funds. It’s really truly mind boggling.
Ive still got 3 plus more months of training and about 2k to raise. So; I won’t be quiet anytime soon. But again, I just wanted to thank you.
I love you. Each of you.
