Visited an adorable American Japanese garden during my last visit to California - complete with resident peacocks 🦚🏯

The garden is split into four sections that each represent a odifferent season, and even features an incredible collection of over 100 bonsai 🌳

Played a little bit with the macro + flash combo tonight!

National Park Visit #2 — Yosemite National Park 📍

As a Florida girl, the winding roads, towering mountain views, and waterfalls around every curve made my short visit feel absolutely magical. 🏔️🏞️

Last Saturday was the UF IFAS Extension Seminole County 2026 Garden Expo & Plant Sale 🌱

I had a great time exploring the facility and snapping photos of the amazing vendors and presenters who made the event so special.

Shoutout to Tom with the Cuplet Fern Native Plant Society, and Rick, Kimberly, and Denise from Wildscape Design Native Landscaping for taking a moment to pose for a photo 🫶

Pulled up to a DIY skate spot and of course, the Wilburness girl ended up on a mini wildlife side quest instead. 🛹🌾

Could not resist wandering into the dry prairie next door to see what was out there. 🪲 🐍

First encounter was this Short-Horned Grasshopper who patiently let me get right up in his space for a face shot. ✨

A few steps later I met a mama Green Lynx Spider guarding her eggs. Beautiful, intense, and absolutely not interested in a photoshoot. 🕷️

National Bird Day 2026 🐦
A few of my favorite bird photos from 2024–2025, taken at places like Orlando Wetlands and Gemini Springs.

Featuring tricolored heron, wood stork, ibis, whistling ducks, and a screech owl.

I don’t quite have the right lenses for birding yet, but these moments were too good not to share.
