10! I can hardly believe it. I’m feeling super emotional about this one for some reason. She’s already more than halfway to 18. It’s gone too fast. She’s one of my favorite humans though. She’s hilarious and sarcastic and sweet and helpful and creative and I just love getting to watch her grow into herself! Tonight we are taking her to the Illinois Symphony Orchestra! She’s so excited!

We spent the weekend at my great grandpas house this past weekend. My grandma still lives there and it was so nice to get to visit with her. It always feels weird to go back there when he isn’t here anymore, but I do love that my kids will have memories in his house!

I’ve struggled so much this week with my attention span! Anyone else? I’m working on revamping my website and packages, plus responding to inquiries, and I have, like, 6 loads of laundry to put away, my floors could really be vacuumed sometime soon, and you can hardly walk into my room. On Zach’s trek around the bed to kiss me goodbye this morning before work, he tripped and almost fell on all of the crap everywhere 🙈 I can’t grown up this week! Instead of focusing on one thing I keep bouncing around back and forth. I feel like I’m working on things all day but I actually don’t get much done 😂 Also, IG and Tiktok suck me in on the regular because I have no boundaries 😅 So anyway, tomorrow I’m getting up at 4:20, like I’ve been promising myself, and I’m getting my life together! I’ll keep you posted on how that goes 😬 Maybe I’ll do a day in the life in my stories tomorrow. I should probably get off the Gram and go to bed though!

THIS is a memory session, guys! My friend asked me to do a session of her sewing with her grandma. She wanted to be able to remember what this time sewing with her grandma was like. This session was so freaking special! Her grandma was amazing. She was hilarious and sharp and quick! Their bond brought tears to my eyes! I loved being a fly on the wall and getting to witness this relationship. I felt so honored to get to be there for their conversations and inside jokes and to capture this dynamic! It was beyond words. This is her collection of plants!

This is what it’s all about! Your people. Your memories. The things that are important to you. Kaylin and I have both experienced extreme loss of people we always thought would be there. We both know how important making things count is. We know how important memories are and I’m so grateful that she trusted me to capture hers ❤️

Guys, I’m officially opening up my books for the rest of the year! I’ve decided to make a lot of changes when it comes to my business this year. While my books have been closed the last couple of months, I’ve been busy behind the scenes working to figure out exactly how I want to run my business.

Moving forward, I won’t be offering family sessions for new clients. If you’ve gotten a family session from me in the past I will always say yes to you and appreciate your support more than you could ever know! But moving forward, the only “family sessions” I will offer will be Memory Sessions. These are such a huge passion of mine and you can tell it’s my passion by the images I create. Whenever I’ve tried to bring that same passion into the sunset, matchy, family sessions, I feel I’ve fallen short and I only want to give my best to my people! Memory sessions are so important to me and I feel like it shows by the images I create. I have a ton of friends who offer family sessions and I’d be so happy to pass along their names if you want recommendations!

Memory sessions are just that… your memories! Unposed, raw, and authentic to YOU and your own family dynamic/memories! And I feel that they go hand in hand with Birth Story Sessions as it’s a time you never ever want to forget!

I will be revamping packages and prices in the coming weeks. I’ll let you know when it’s all up on my website. One thing I’m super stoked about is to offer albums for your sessions! I can’t wait to show you what they look like!
