Another gorgeous spring day and another neighborly encounter while walking Lou. We ran into The Laced Brush as she was adding the finishing touches to her fabulous artwork on the windows at Alphabet Avenue Children's Resale Boutique just in time for their opening tomorrow! Also Ottawa's Third Friday is the of the season!☀️🌷😊

Happy Easter! Lou and I just spotted this festive chick out walking their dog.🐣

People always comment “only you!” I was just giving it some thought and I think I know why. For the most part I live life with an open heart and open mind. I’m not afraid of admitting I was wrong when presented with new information. I trust my gut and listen to my intuition, for the most part. And when I don’t, I am reminded that I need to.
And, I listen to Lou. I can’t tell you how many times he has insisted on going a different direction on our walks or stopped to sniff out something for longer than usual. I know it’s not the best for obedience, but I’ve learned to listen and he has lead us into many little adventures that I’ve written about. Today we walked a path we took maybe last year sometime. But it’s a beautiful day, I saw some gorgeous blooms and I was rewarded with this sighting.
Be open to new experiences, information and perspectives. You never know what adventure awaits!☮️

After the Storm
I got sick mid February. Flu B, then pneumonia, then bronchitis. I’m much better and was able to work a full day yesterday.
This morning while walking Lou I came across a sidewalk covered in a thin layer of mud, courtesy of last night’s storm. I was drawn to the patterns and decided to make some photos. A fella driving by slowed down to see what I was looking at so close to the ground. It’s funny. It’s just a natural reaction. He couldn’t see what I saw. And that’s okay.
I’m thankful I was able to walk outside in the cool, fresh air after last night’s storm did a little spring cleaning. And I’m thankful I am back to the studio. ☮️

I have a great pop-up opportunity! A pair of baby lambs were born a couple of days ago. I will have lambs, baby chicks and a bunny in the studio on Saturday February 28th ONLY 10-1. The animals your child/children are photographed with will be determined by their age and comfort level. Just follow the link for more information and to book your session! The backdrop will be very simple with a soft cream colored paper.
