Taking a day off from life meant another great day out in the trails 😎
We met with friends and introduced them to an old favorite of ours; Alpine Loop.
We took an off shoot trail to American Basin which is known mostly for its abundance of amazing wildflowers. We were a little late to see the best of them but it was still lovely up there!
The trail was busier than I’ve seen it before and still had snow at the peaks - on July 31st!

The spectacular Taughannock Falls are the highest single drop falls east of the Rockies 😎
An easy, mostly level, .75 mile trail brings you to the base of the falls or they can be viewed from above at an easily reached overlook point with ample parking 😎

We don’t normally trailer the bike when we go on a trip; Iain will ride and I generally will fly in to meet him at the start point. However, we borrowed a friends trailer when we moved up from Tampa and had to get it back to him. What better way to do that than arrange a bike trip 😎
Poor baby had to get stripped down naked to fit in, but fit she did and tomorrow we’re heading out to the Catskills 🙌🏻

Come and spend 30 seconds on The delightful island of Naxos with us 😎
I literally had to pull every bribe in the book to get Iain to agree to a Greek Island vacay. He much prefers the adrenaline filled adventures that we normally take but I told him that after 23 years of traveling together, I deserved a more relaxing holiday and he reluctantly agreed 😍

Turns out he enjoyed himself after all 🤪

It took all the bribes going to persuade Iain to go on a Greek Island vacation. He much prefers the adrenaline filled adventures we normally embark on. However, I persuaded him that after 23 years of traveling together, I deserved a more relaxed break away, and he reluctantly agreed 😄

Well it turns out that he really enjoyed it! So never say never folks! Think outside your box and try something different now and then 😎

Not only is Tiny Timbers a fab place in a gorgeous spot, with great food but they have the best staff too 🙌🏻
We are lucky enough to live near the spectacular route that is Wolf Creek Pass, so yesterday we took a spin out and back. Generally we like to stop for coffee and lunch at our turn round point but our fave spot was closed 😓
However, the staff were still in and were lovely enough to get us two good coffees and the most delicious cinnamon orange muffin 😋
