There's an osprey nest located on a spire in one of my favorite spots in Newfoundland. I was lucky enough to spend a few hours watching it bring food back to the nest and even more lucky when it returned with an entire fish! You can find this image in my 2025 Calendar among 11 over images I took over the past year along with QR codes that take you to the video where those photos were taken. A great gift idea for photographers and nature lovers alike! Grab one here: https://www.alexarmitage.com/calendars/2025-calendar

Amazing getting to see such definition this far south, but it didn’t last long. My best images were taken RIGHT as it got dark enough to see (8:20pm) in Colorado. You can see it fade away in the Timelapse. The half moon was directly behind me providing the perfect amount of light to capture details in the foreground and it all really came together. Magic

If you know this spot or visit it. This is private property and I got permission to be here. Please respect the area!

Hey have you grabbed a 2025 calendar yet?

This calendar contains a collection of some of my favorite images taken throughout the past year. Hand curated and designed by me to include camera settings, image titles, and even QR codes on ALL images that link to their corresponding video for when they were taken from the past year.

Today's YouTube Episode is packed with things I had never seen or photographed my entire life. One of those is this Brocken Spectre, that I totally misspelled in the video. Whoops

I'm also trying a new format. Something that takes a lot more time to create that hopefully translates to a more developed experience for the viewer. Even if you don't have the time right now, it would mean a lot if you throw it on and let it play without closing out the video. Put it on in the background. Fall asleep to it. The absolute best thing you can do to help a creator is let their video play through. I'd also love to know your thoughts if you do watch it!

Trying to find an interesting foreground for sunset in Patagonia. This was a focus stack and I've included one of the raw images from the stack so you can see it unedited. What do you think?

An absolutely wild experience in Patagonia. These crashing waves only exist when the wind reaches a certain level, around 60+ km/hr. The wind this morning was so strong the waves crashed over the rock on the left part of the frame creating a waterfall that completes this composition. Oh and that sunlit foggy glow on the famous peaks doesn't hurt either. What a memorable experience.

This is probably my favorite image I took in Patagonia and is not a blend, it is one single image. The sense of scale, the light, the painterly atmosphere, the perfect placement of two different animals. The list goes on and it really doesn't get better than this. Likely one of my favorite images I've ever had the luck to capture.

I've also included a few more cuties in here as well :)

Can’t figure out which of these I like the most. Which one catches your eye?
