✨ Silver Lining Moment ✨

I’ve been pretty quiet lately, and honestly, that’s because I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting.

When I started Silver Lining a little over a year ago, I had a vision. I thought photography would be a bigger part of my business than it has become. But sometimes life has a way of showing us a different path.

This winter was especially eye-opening. After dealing with tennis elbow and realizing my body doesn’t always cooperate the way it used to, I started asking myself some hard questions about what I wanted Silver Lining to become.

The answer kept bringing me back to marketing.

I love creating. I love designing. I love taking an idea and turning it into something meaningful. I love looking at a business and seeing opportunities they may not even realize are there. Most of all, I love helping people tell their story.

Photography will always have a place in my heart, but I realized that marketing is where my passion continues to grow. It allows me to use my creativity in new ways while helping businesses build something bigger than a logo or a social media post—it helps them build a brand.

The past month of quiet wasn’t because I was giving up.

It was because I was rebuilding.

I’ve spent the last several weeks evaluating, planning, dreaming, and creating a vision for what Silver Lining looks like moving forward. Not just for today, but for the future.

Years ago, during one of the hardest seasons of my life, someone told me, “There’s always a silver lining.”

At the time, I wasn’t sure I believed them.

Today, I do.

Silver Lining isn’t just a business name. It’s a reminder that growth often comes from unexpected places and that sometimes the path you didn’t plan is the one you’re meant to take.

This next chapter feels exciting, a little scary, and incredibly right.

I’ve spent time reflecting on what Silver Lining truly means to me, the purpose behind this business, and the direction I want to take it moving forward. What started as an idea has grown into something I’m incredibly passionate about, and I’ve been quietly building behind the scenes.

This week, I’m finally ready to start sharing pieces of what’s been in the works — the vision, the growth, the creativity, and the exciting things ahead. 🤍

Still very much in my behind-the-scenes era… just with a lot more coffee, sports schedules, website edits, race prep, and late nights lately. 😅

This season of life is full in every possible way.

But one thing I’ve learned as a business owner is that growth doesn’t always look loud online. Sometimes it looks like rebuilding, refining, learning, balancing, and continuing to show up even when life gets busy.

Sometimes a project starts with a single goal, but the "Silver Lining" is discovering just how much further we can go together.

When I first started working with this author, our focus was the visuals: headshots and product photography to capture the essence of her book. But as any business owner knows, once you have the beautiful images, the next question is always: “Now, how do I share this with the world?”
That’s where the strategy took flight. 📈
What began as a photo shoot evolved into a full creative partnership. I realized she was looking for a way to turn those images into a story—something that would build hype and lead her audience right to launch day. Since then, I’ve been able to step in and handle the creative expertise, designing social media series that take the guesswork out of her marketing.
Here’s my "all-in" promise:

Last week in Florida was the perfect reset. It was all about relaxing and making memories with my kids—a necessary pause to breathe and reflect. But now, it’s back to the grind!
Between my full-time career and building Silver Lining Marketing, my "normal" is a fast-paced juggle of work, family, and sports schedules. Sitting here this morning with my caramel macchiato, I’m looking at that sign in the background: "I still remember the days I prayed for the things I have now." The "Silver Lining" of this busy life? I’m finally living the reality I once only dreamed of. It takes a lot of heart (and a lot of caffeine), but I’m ready to keep plugging away. ☕️✨
