Some weddings are beautiful.

And then there are weddings that make you forget you’re working.

The kind where every vow is spoken through tears. Where family surrounds you with the kind of love you can feel from behind the camera. Where horses graze in the distance, mountains disappear into the clouds, and the landscape somehow feels as sacred as the promises being made.

I used to babysit this sweet bride when she was little, and yesterday I got to photograph her marrying the love of her life in the same little historic church where I was married.

A church that sits on the hill we both grew up on.

Our families are farm families, intertwined for generations, so this day felt personal in a way I can’t fully explain.

It was simple, tender, and full of the kind of love you can actually feel.

Family gathered close.
Little ones held tight.
Vows spoken in a place already filled with so much history.

And honestly, that’s what stayed with me most.

Two of the kindest souls, surrounded by their people, with the sweetest little Levi at the center of it all.

And honestly, that was the part that stayed with me most — the way their whole world seemed to revolve around him.

I think my favorite kind of photos are the ones that feel like you accidentally stepped into a memory.

Nothing loud. Nothing overly posed. Just two people being soft with each other for a minute.

The little laugh after a kiss.
The hand on his shoulder.
The way he smiles because he knows she’s right there.

It’s easy to think photos have to be big and perfect to matter, but I don’t think they do.

Sometimes the sweetest ones are just proof that, for a second, everything felt simple and good.
