If I could pick more than three options for what I liked about working with Kris, I would!! He’s been a pleasure to work with and I’m very glad I decided to use his services. He’s a great guy who traveled all the way to Lansing for free, arrived early, took great photos and then edited them and sent them out to us in less than 48 hours. For anybody on the fence about which photographer they would choose, go with Moody!

Sometimes you end up in the middle of the woods on a hot day, third-wheeling two people madly in love, and you walk away with a camera full of moments that feel like they might last forever.

I don’t really do the whole “hey, book me now!” hard sell thing. I just like making images that feel like these.

If you know, you know. Especially when the client messages “I absolutely love these photos!”

Still in awe from last night.
Living Trails Horseback Riding and Wellness welcomed my wife and me with such grace and kindness—and what a hidden gem this place is, right here in our corner of the world.

The connection to these intuitive, majestic souls (the horses) was immediate for my wife. Me not so much…I realized I’m not entirely comfortable around them yet. They knew. But wow….Their presence is something you feel deep in your chest—calm, knowing, sacred.

Watching my wife experience this felt like witnessing God’s kismet unfold in real time. Pieces we didn’t even know were missing started falling into place.

Can’t wait to return, to learn more, and to walk gently into whatever this new chapter holds.

Sometimes the spotlight isn’t meant for you — and that’s okay.

I recently submitted a proposal to become the seasonal photographer for Stagecrafters Theatre. While I wasn’t selected, it was because they had the opportunity to retain the talented photographer they’ve trusted for many years, who ultimately decided not to step away after all.

Of course, I’m a bit disappointed, but more than that—I’m honored to have even been considered. Just being invited into such a beautiful and creative space, surrounded by passionate people and powerful storytelling, was a gift in itself.

Wishing the Stagecrafters team a phenomenal season ahead—and who knows? Maybe our paths will cross again down the road.
