It’s always a fun day diving the oil rigs, even though this day (9/5/26) was a little rougher with some nice Wells from the Maria hurricane. Thank you Channel Islands Dive Adventures for putting the trip together aboard the Giant Stride. The BEST six pack dive boat in the Long Beach San Pedro area. Nothing better than fresh scallop appetizers between dives.

Here’s a short video on how to use our sled weight kits. The CSK-WS kit can be used in many different ways and depends on what your needs are. If you have a sled and it needs to be trimmed out, this is a kit for you. You can also purchase the weights separately if you need to add more or if you’d like to use them for something different. "I like a setup that lets me react fast, because underwater things change in a second. Every underwater photographer knows the feeling: you drop in rigged for macro, and suddenly a pelagic swims by. Or you are set up for wide-angle, and you spot the most perfect, tiny nudibranch. The ocean doesn’t care about your setup; that is why my main goals underwater are speed and adaptability: I hate missing a shot because I’m busy unscrewing gear."

Something new today — and another cool way Ultralight Camera Solutions products can be put to work in the field.

Our brand ambassador Walter van Dusen of Field Tested Media was trackside at the inaugural Ontario Honda Dealers Indy at Markham in Canada this past weekend.

The racing was exciting, but we especially liked seeing how Walter built his camera setup. He mounted an Insta360 X6 to his main camera using an Ultralight DB-16 arm, a pair of AC-CSB clamps featuring our new wing k***s, along with base adapters to create a compact, solid 360° video rig.

Even more interesting: Walter was the only credentialed media photographer he saw using an Insta360 trackside — giving him a completely different perspective on the action and behind-the-scenes experience.

This is exactly what we love about Ultralight gear: one system, endless ways to build it.
