🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Today, I’m reminding myself that it’s okay to slow down.

Life can get so busy with work, family, photography, and all the little things that fill our days. Sometimes we get so focused on what needs to be done that we forget to simply enjoy the life we’ve been blessed with.

Today is a good day to rest, spend time with the people you love, laugh a little, eat something good, and be thankful. ❤️

I’m grateful for the work I get to do, but I’m even more grateful for the people God has placed in my life and the memories we get to make together.

So today, I’m choosing to put the to-do list aside for a little while and enjoy the blessings right in front of me.

I hope you do the same. ❤️🇺🇸

🌿 Sunday Reflection 🌿

Today was a special kind of Sunday because I got to spend the day celebrating my mom on her birthday. ❤️

There’s something so precious about slowing down, putting the busy things aside, and simply enjoying time with the people God has blessed us with.

Birthdays remind me that time is a gift—and that the ordinary moments we share with family often become the memories we treasure most.

Today I’m especially grateful for my mom, for another year of her life, for the memories we’ve made, and for the blessing of getting to spend this day together. 🥰

“Her children arise and call her blessed.”
— Proverbs 31:28

Thank You, Lord, for my mom, for another year of her life, and for the precious gift of time together. May I never take these moments for granted. ❤️

First… welcome to the club. 😂

You do NOT need to know how to pose.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.
You don't need a model's smile.
And please… don't practice your “picture face” in the mirror. 😂

That’s my job! 📸

I’ll tell you where to stand, where to look, what to do with those hands, and sometimes I'll even make you do something that feels completely ridiculous…

…and then I'll show you the picture and you'll say,
“Wait… THAT’S ME?! 😍”

My goal isn't stiff, perfect poses. I want you laughing, moving, and actually having fun.

So bring your personality, your favorite outfits, and your slightly awkward self.

Your hobbies.

Even the little things that make you, **YOU!**

Sunday Reflection 🤍

There’s something beautiful about growing older with the person you chose to do life with.

Marriage isn't always the big romantic moments. Sometimes it's the quiet ones—checking on each other, laughing over something silly, showing up on the hard days, and choosing each other over and over again.

After all these years, I’m reminded that love isn't just something you feel.

It's something you build.

I'm thankful for a husband who has walked beside me through the beautiful seasons, the difficult ones, and all the ordinary days in between.

And I’m especially thankful that God has been at the center of our story.

“Above all, love each other deeply...” — 1 Peter 4:8

My senior sessions are typically **1½–2 hours**, giving us plenty of time to relax, change outfits, move between locations, and capture all the little moments that make your senior *them*. 🤍

I don't want your session to feel rushed. We take our time, have fun, and let your senior's personality come through naturally.

Because the best images don't always happen when you're standing perfectly still—they happen in the moments in between. 💜

Choosing outfits for senior pictures can feel overwhelming, but don't worry—I’ve got you! 🤍

I send every senior a **Style Guide** to help you plan outfits, choose colors, and put together looks that feel like YOU.

Some of my favorite colors for outdoor sessions are:

✨ Soft neutrals — cream, beige, white, tan
✨ Earthy tones — olive, rust, brown, terracotta
✨ Soft colors — dusty blue, blush, lavender
✨ Rich colors — burgundy, navy, forest green

I love using 2–3 locations that are close together to give your gallery variety while still keeping the session relaxed.

Think: different backgrounds, different light, different vibes—and even a quick outfit change.

The result? A gallery that feels like **your senior**, not a collection of the same pose in the same place.
