I am SO proud of this team.

This week they knocked out 8 schools, and FIVE of them were without Daniel and me there. We’re in Canada while I’m speaking at a ladies retreat, and we have never left our children and staff to handle this many schools without us.

They crushed it. 🙌

I’ve said for years that I’m raising my replacements. We are discipling our children to work, serve, solve problems and eventually run the business without us standing over them.

This week we stepped away, and they stepped up.

We say we’re raising adults, not simply raising children. This week we got a pretty good look at the adults they’re becoming. ❤️

We are so excited about how well this school year has started! 📸

Our first SCHOOL SNEAK PEEK is ready!!

This is one of the things I love about being a local photographer. We live here, work here, raise our family here, and we love being able to share sneak peeks of the children we photograph and get to watch them grow over the years. 😉

I’m working on finalizing our full mini-session schedule, and we’ll be releasing everything on TUESDAY, September 1!

Have you ever wanted to get your camera off auto and learn how to use it with confidence? 📸

Daniel and I are teaching a three-hour, hands-on photography course at Hartman Photography!

When: Monday, September 28,
2:00–5:00 PM
Where: Hartman Photography,
3690 Berryhill Rd Pace Fl
How much:💲125 per person
Who: Any adult or student 

This course is open to adults and students. We’ll cover camera basics, exposure, composition, lighting, posing, and editing, with plenty of time to practice what you’re learning.

Daniel and I have been professional photographers for more than 25 years, and we’re excited to teach the skills we use every day.

Step Up students can use scholarship funds for this course. Hartman Photography is a direct-pay provider, so parents do not have to pay upfront and wait for reimbursement.

Hartman Photography is about to kick off another busy school year!
In just three weeks, we will start with Kingsfield Elementary, and 70 + other schools across Escambia and Santa Rosa County—from preschools to colleges, and plenty of sports organizations too!

📸 Did you know we also offer “In-Studio School Minis”? Perfect for homeschoolers, online learners, and anyone wanting professional Senior or Undergrad portraits—all with a LOCAL touch. Our 1st days of the season are Aug 21 & Sept 8, comment BACK TO SCHOOL and i'll send you the links!

If we’re not currently photographing your school or sports program, we’d love your recommendation. As the largest LOCAL school photography company, we’re equipped to handle any job, big or small.

I’m sure you’ve seen the drama about the big school photo company by now. I won’t sit here and tell you it’s true I don’t know, and I won’t pretend to.

But it’s got parents asking a fair question, and it deserves a real answer: who’s actually behind your kid’s photos?
