Cuervo is a tiny. Semi-abandoned unincorporated community in Guadalupe County, New Mexico with s population of just 8 people as of 2020.

Established in 1901 as a railroad camp, it was first named Conant after a local rancher. A settler later renamed it Newkirk after his hometown in Oklahoma.
