Getting to photograph this project up close was one of those rare experiences that stays with you. Watching memory, loss, love, and community transformed into these incredibly detailed miniatures was honestly awe-inspiring.
Each piece preserves more than a place. It holds stories of homes, schools, businesses, and gathering spaces that shaped people’s lives. Seeing the care and collaboration behind every model made this feel less like an exhibit and more like a living archive of the Palisades.
I’m so grateful to have witnessed and documented such a powerful reminder that even when landscapes change, memory and community endure. I encourage you all to check it out starting at the end of this month. Details on the last slide.
