Honestly, I never thought I would get into sports photography the way I have this year.
The first media day photos I ever took were at the end of 2023 and again at the end of 2024, and those were literally the only two times I had ever photographed a media day. 😂 Looking back now… they were definitely 🗑️🤣 But hey, everybody has to start somewhere!
Last year, I photographed my son’s little league team, and that’s when I really started falling in love with the idea of making a shift in my photography career. I knew I wanted to explore sports photography, but I honestly had no idea where to begin.
So this April, I decided to take a leap of faith. 🙌🏾
I took to Facebook and started looking for athletes who would be willing to model for me in different sports. I did several shoots completely FREE, just so I could practice, experiment, learn, and figure out what worked, and what definitely DIDN’T. 😂
Little by little, I started seeing the growth.
Once I felt confident enough in my work, I started reaching out to schools, teams, and leagues about their media days. And now here I am! 🥹❤️
Sports photography is still very new to me, but I am SO proud of how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time.
This is just the beginning. 📸🔥
I’m going to keep learning.
I’m going to keep practicing.
I’m going to keep pushing myself.
And I’m only going to get BETTER!!!!!! 💪🏾🔥
