What a week it's been!

Yesterday morning I attended the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Membership and Marketing Committee meeting, and I was honored to be named Chamber Connector of the Month! Being part of this community and getting to connect local businesses with each other is something I don't take for granted.

From there I headed to the Paducah Professional Women luncheon led by Brittany Kollenberg, lead event planner with Bluegrass Event Planning & Rentals at The Commonwealth Event Center, for my first visit and I was so energized by the entire event! I can't wait to go back next month.

Today I stopped by coffee hour at Sprocket, Inc. and spent the morning networking with some incredible local business owners.

Tomorrow I get to photograph a ribbon cutting for my friend Amie Tooley and her business, Connective Consulting, also happening at Sprocket. She's combining the celebration with her 50th birthday, so it's going to be a fun one! Can't wait to capture it for her.

This week has been a good reminder of why I love this community so much.

It was a true pleasure photographing Ansh for his senior session — and an extra special one at that. A few years ago I had the honor of capturing his brother's senior portraits, and getting to do the same for Ansh felt like coming full circle. Timeless black and white portraits paired with a sharp, tailored outdoor look. Wishing him all the best as he steps into this next chapter.

Summer means my kids are home, so photography takes a back seat for a couple months. It doesn't disappear — I'm still shooting, still editing, still writing, just slower, and honestly, that's kind of nice.

Fall is a different story. My calendar is already filling up with weddings, family portraits, and senior sessions, and I can't wait for all of them. I've also been loving getting back into the blog, telling the bigger story behind each wedding I photograph. If you've been meaning to book your own session, I've got a few fall spots left — I'd love to catch up and talk about what you have in mind.

Over the last 6 weeks, I’ve been working on a passion project of mine. In between weddings, family portraits, and other life commitments Steven and I took a family trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.

I’ve had a dream of creating a product line for inspirational wall art. This gallery is a tiny sneak peek into the full gallery from that vacation.

From their wedding day to baby girl Amelia. 🥹

I had the honor of photographing Gage & Emily's wedding, and this portrait from their wedding gallery now hangs framed on their living room wall. Last night, I stepped into their home for the first time and met their daughter — and I don't think I stopped smiling the entire session. There is something so sacred about being trusted to photograph a family through more than one chapter of their story. Gage and Emily aren't just clients to me — they're people I've laughed with and celebrated during some of the biggest moments of their lives.
Sometimes the stars align and a full gallery finds its way to your inbox within 24 hours of your session. Tonight was one of those nights. 💛
This is why I do this. Every single time.
