**warning: long caption ahead** hiiii!!!! as some of you might know, the past 2 years have been filled with major kidney reconstructive surgeries, trips to the ER, and more emergency surgeries.

my most recent surgery was in february, which was supposed to be the very last one. it was by far the hardest surgery yet. i got sliced in half, got a rib taken out (which i had no idea was even going to happen), got my kidney reconstructed, and sewn up again with 25 staples.

the recovery was HARD. i haven’t shared much of the behind the scenes because honestly it’s not very pretty. i couldn’t walk without a walker for a few months, my body’s normal functions weren’t working, my rib regrowing was/is PAINFUL, and the whole left side of my body from my waist to below my hip is still completely numb and i’m not sure i’ll ever regain feeling.

although it was hard, i recovered!!! my scar started healing and lightening and i could walk without a walker! but just when i started to feel *somewhat* normal again, i got the news.

the surgery failed. again. 🙃 so i went home and cried for 6 hours straight. (last pic was taken the day i found out)

so yep. i’m getting ANOTHER surgery!!!

they’re going to take my whole kidney out this time so this will definitely be the last one but i’m pretty freakin scared. it’s been a HARD couple years with surgery after surgery and i really haven’t shared any of that on here because i wanted to only share positive things, but i’ve recently found so much joy through being vulnerable and real.

i feel very called to share this journey with you guys, and if me opening up about what im going through helps at least one person then it was worth it. that being said, this account is gonna start looking a little different but i hope you stick around longer than my kidney will lol!! so so ready/pooping my pants nervous about this new surgery and to hopefully be DONEEE with the surgeries and so so excited to share the journey with you guys!! now accepting all the good vibes and juju!!!! ✨✌🏽🌈 🤗
