Time for an introduction! Because you should know who you’re working with.
I’m Hannah Mayo.
Mom to 4 amazing people aged 8-17. That age range still blows my mind because they really were *just* tiny—like yesterday. I get to raise them with my sweet husband Manny who always knows how to make me laugh.
I shot my first “professional” photo session in 2008, and for these nearly 18 years I’ve enjoyed a career that has included everything from newborns to weddings, commercial work to birth stories.
But families have been the constant thread in my work, and as my own family grew my passion also developed for specializing in capturing the beauty of the quickly-changing seasons for other moms.
Telling the story of your growing family from year to year—ensuring that you’re in beautiful photos with your kids at the stage they’re in right now. Helping you to see the astounding beauty of your own everyday life in the midst of the chaos of little ones and busy schedules… that is a passion and a mission for me.
You don’t have to apologize for the mess, for the kids, for anything—because you know that I’ve seen it ALL! (Did I mention that 3 of my 4 are boys? 😜)
I know how easy it is to just leave booking the photoshoot for later. When life slows down, or when you feel more confident, or when you’re not so tired. But these kiddos will never be quite as little as they are today. This season you’re in right now is one you’ll want to remember. I promise. Just do it, and trust me: we’ll make some magic. ✨
Alright, 10 more things about me:
1. I’m a reader. I did a semester of a librarian grad program before starting my photography business. I especially love historical fiction.
2. I’ve homeschooled my children since 2014, which has been one of the most rewarding and challenging endeavors of my life.
3. I’m constantly learning. I love a good deep dive and am especially interested in health & nutrition. I’ve always got podcasts, audiobooks, and at least 5 different books stacked on my nightstand.
4. I was married at 19 years old, which now 19 years later is so wild to think about. We were such babies then! and we’ve really grown up together.
