My adoration for photography began at 13 when I processed my film in a darkroom and saw black and white images staring back at me. After teaching for 10 years and having my children, I began to focus on my passions - family and photography. With training in manual mode and the use of natural lighting, I aim to capture fleeting moments in time!

Being able to capture milestone sessions is not only amazing, they are fun too!! You get to witness how much a child has grown and see all the cool things they can do. Last time I saw Baby A, she was 4 months. At 8 months, this cutie pie was showing me all the new things she loved to do. I can't wait to see her again at her ONE year session!!!

It's been a little quiet over here... I've been spending more time sharing on Instagram lately but I'm still here are so grateful for the beautiful families I get to photograph.

Recently, I had the absolute honor of photographing this sweet 4-month-old as part of her Little Sprout package. Being able to document her milestones is such a joy!!! Matt Evans

I feel absolutely terrible that I haven’t been active on my page!! To be honest, I use Instagram to showcase my work a lot more than I do Facebook . So if you’re on Instagram and are not following me there, please feel free to do so. My handle is .

I’m Claudia . I’m the founder and photographer of New Light Photos. I’m a mom of 4 children , 1 in heaven and 3 earth side. Photography has always been in my life since childhood but I didn’t pursue it as a career until I had my 3rd child and knew I wasn’t going back to teaching. I specialize in newborn, maternity, and family photography.

Photography brings me so much joy! I love being able to freeze special moments for families to have for a lifetime!
