My eyes really wanted to witness the Aurora Borealis last weekend, and maybe I thought i did see it a little from my mosquito infested backyard. What I did see and photograph was the crescent moon, which is my favorite moon. You can clearly see Mare Crisis and Gutenberg, along with several other named craters.

When the Bald Eagle comes into view, but after you snap your photo you realize there was a branch in the way! I really enjoyed visiting their nest on the Island this past spring. There were two Eaglets in the nest this year.the last time I visited they were very close to fledging.

Limpkin posing for me. I hear these large wading birds more often then seeing them in person. They have a loud wailing scream you can hear at dawn and dusk if you are close to wetlands. They primarily eat Apple Snails and have the perfect bill to sn**ch them from their shells.
