PLEASE READ
Hi friends! I have been reading about the latest AI news and the more and more I've thought about it, the more I've been thinking.
If you have ever had a session with me, you know I have always asked about posting photos of your child(ren) long before I make a post. With that being said, I feel in my heart that I am going to start pushing back a little. I do not make this decision lightly, as I love posting just as soon as I edit for your eyes to see just as fast my hands edit. But, this world is becoming crazier and crazier, and with me trying to get more exposure, and as my page continues to grow, and a big following, I just do not feel comfortable sharing your little babies as much anymore.
YES, I absolutely will post if you are all for it, and YES, I will still ask and may post 1-2 from your family session (different, little detailed types of photos), and please know, I 110% support whatever YOU want me to do. If you've been one that I always post, and you're not too keen on the idea of posting anymore, absolutely let me know, as I have many, many clients I don't share their kiddos faces. And trust me, I get the ones you can share too if you're feeling like me. 🙂
Please know, I may still occasionally post pictures of an adorable Mommy + Me I can't resist (with your permission first of course), or previous pictures for advertisements (with previous permission.) Seniors, I will always ask if you want your photos posted beforehand as well. Births- I will post with your permission, because I know I wouldn't be able to resist posting some of your birth story, and yes I will be limiting faces showing.
Social media is becoming something I am less on, other than my photography page or keeping up with news. I love sharing photos and memories just as much as anyone, but this is a whole different day and age than it was just a few years ago that has me also not rushing into sharing photos as much. I'd like to encourage you to do the same. I'm one of those, I'd go back to disposable cameras and live the 90s childhood all over again, but unfortunately, times are so different and it's honestly scary as a mom myself.
I also want to make you aware, I will be updating my website and taking 99% of kid's photos down. I have never, and will NEVER be posting your kids photos on my TikTok either, as TikTok is a whole other world of who knows who sees what.
Here's where I will need YOUR help. Please, please, please always tag me to give me credit for my work. Especially if they are photos you absolutely love and I did not share. I still want family sessions and certain types of kiddos sessions. I do NOT really do birthdays anymore, unless they are a very simple indoor backdrop or main outdoor set.
I'll wrap this up by saying, clearly I am torn, but please know I 100% will use my judgement on how often and what I post of kids. As always, I am open and honest with each one of you, and want you to be in the loop, so you won't be surprised to not see a "preview" picture of your child from the family session or of their sweet face(s). That will be for your eyes to see first and then decide what you'd like to do with it.
**ALSO-if you read this and want me to take ANY photos down, message me and I absolutely will!**
Thank you all for being so amazing to me. ❤
XOXO,
Savanna
