Some of the most beautiful weddings are the ones that don’t go exactly as planned.

Rain brought Allie + Sean’s ceremony inside the barn at 4U Ranch creating an intimate beginning to a celebration shared with more than 230 guests. As the weather shifted, the evening unfolded beneath a stunning tent in the meadow overlooking the river.

One of the most meaningful moments came later, when Allie changed into her mother’s restored wedding dress, a beautiful tribute. From a Penn State lacrosse legacy to a dance floor full of energy, every part of this celebration reflected family, tradition + pure joy.

Twenty years ago today, a dear friend took a chance on me + flew me to Ocracoke, North Carolina, to photograph her wedding. I was just beginning my business then, wide-eyed + grateful. I remember feeling like the luckiest girl alive.

This year’s black-tie gala unfolded onstage at the stunning Capitol Theatre, where guests were surrounded by breathtaking performances from + the talented students of followed by an afterparty of diamonds + caviar.
