Why I love Wedding Weekends.

Different couples. Different cities. Different years. Look what they all have in common.

It was never about the eight hours on a Saturday. It is the welcome dinner, the getting-ready chaos, the friend who cannot stop laughing, the dance floor at midnight when the chairs go up. A weekend gives me room to actually CATCH all of it instead of sprinting a shot list.

That is the whole job, honestly. Stay long enough that the camera disappears, then hand you back the feeling.

I'll be in Paris the week of July 14.

While I'm there, I want to photograph one couple. Not a styled shoot, not a workshop. Just the two of you, the city, and an hour or two spent making the kind of portraits you'll still have framed in forty years.
