We love exploring West Virginia from the local hot spots to the secluded forests and hidden gems around the state. This is a photo from my archives taken in 2020 during a trip to Point Pleasant West Virginia. Using satellite imagery we located several abandoned structures in the woods of what used to be the TNT area.

We spent most of the day crawling through the brush taking photos along the way as we explored old concrete tank pillars, what appeared to be a concrete drainage system, and several old concrete buildings that were pretty well hidden.

Over the years I've taken many trips to the area for videos either exploring the ruins of what was the West Virginia Ordinance Works or following one of the most enduring legends in the state Mothman.

If you venture out to Point Pleasant for your own exploration don't forget to check out the riverfront park, Tu-Endie-Wei State Park, Fort Randolph, and have fun taking in some beautiful views of the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha River while you're there.

It makes for a wonderful peaceful evening just sitting at Tu-Endie-Wei State Park as you watch the barges and other boats go by.

Almost everyone remembers the famous cow stuck under the St. George bridge photo taken after the 1985 flood. This is another one from my archive taken back in 2020. I grew up swimming, fishing, and kayaking around and under this bridge located in the small community of St. George West Virginia.
