People assume monumental stone demands stiff formality. But when love has weathered years, transitions, and growing families, the portraits stop looking like a performance. They look like freedom. đď¸đď¸
This is the third and final chapter of our anniversary archive for Arielle and Buddy at Ochre Court, and it might be my favorite truth to tell.
When you walk onto the grounds of a historic Newport mansion, the natural instinct for most is to tense upâto stand straight, smile on cue, and pose for the grandeur of the architecture.
But when youâve spent five years and over ten sessions building an unshakeable creative trust, the architecture becomes secondary. The hundred-year-old limestone stops being an imposing backdrop and simply becomes a playground for your joy.
In this set, there were no rigid prompts.
There was only running across the great lawn until Arielleâs tiered dress caught the ocean wind.
There were breathless races, quiet forehead leans against the cold balustrade, and unprompted laughter that echoed off the stone.
That is the secret to enduring love: as the roots grow deeper and the foundation grows stronger, you donât become more seriousâyou become lighter. You remember how to play.
To document a couple across their maternity, their milestones, and their quiet anniversaries is to watch their love shed its armor year after year.
Your legacy isnât just measured by the quiet, serious promises. Itâs held in the moments where you let your guard down entirely and remember that life, at its best, is meant to be enjoyed together.
This concludes Arielle & Buddyâs Newport anniversary trilogy, but their archive remains a living, breathing history. đâ¨
