Can someone explain the science behind preferring black and white photos? 😍 Color is undeniably beautiful and can add a lot of warmth, emotion, atmosphere and so much life to a photo! But there’s something about black and white that feels different… more nostalgic and timeless. Maybe it’s the way removing color makes you notice the light, the shadows, the expressions and the little details?

I love to look back on old photo sessions from when I was first starting out and laugh at myself 😂 I remember being so proud of my work and truly believing the photos I was taking were absolute works of art. Though I admire my confidence at the time, I can definitely say I’ve come a long way! Countless hours spent shooting and editing over the years have taught me a thing or two! Not to mention the incredible improvement in cameras and technology that have brought my photos to what they are today! I know I still have room to improve and I know I’ll look back on my current work in a handful of years and probably laugh at myself again 😅
To all of my clients who have stuck by me throughout the years and have continued to book and support me, (you know who you are) I am unbelievably grateful for your love, support and kindness as I’ve learned and grown. Not only as a photographer/creator but as a business owner and my efforts to make my client experience a relaxing and enjoyable experience!
The sky is the limit my friends and I hope to surpass any and all of my hopes and dreams! Love you all 🤍🫶🏻

Oh this family and this session!!! 😍😍 Ashley and I met over 10 years ago where we both worked at a photography studio taking pictures of newborns and families! We both have gone off on our own, building our own photography business and branching off into our own individual niches and styles. It has been so fun watching her grow as not only an incredibly talented photographer, but also as a tremendous mother! Her and her kids are so fun and free and wild and it was such an honor to document this sweet chapter of motherhood for her 🤍 I’ve said this before and I will say it a thousand times more; I LOVE my job and I ADORE the people I get to work with!!! So unbelievably blessed.

I’m also SUPER tempted to host my fall minis at this same location with a similar backdrop 😍 stay posted!!

I know that these ordinary moments will be the ones my children treasure and remember forever! The muddy shoes, pockets full of trinkets and treasures, scraped knees, wild imaginations, running as with kites and long afternoons spent exploring the fields and the mountains.

So take the pictures. Let them get messy! Follow their curiosity! Explore! Preserve those childhood memories that will be filled with nostalgia for years and years to come!

Realized I never shared this session from last October! I’ve been taking this family’s photos for several years now and it’s always so fun to see how much the kids have grown!
