What a FUN way to kick off the Marigold Festival! 🌼💛

It was SO good seeing so many friends, neighbors, and familiar faces at Taste of Pekin! With so many amazing food vendors to choose from, it was pretty much impossible to walk away hungry! 😂🌮🍕🍔

And then there was the main event… 🥁👶🏼

MR. CRUZ HAS BEEN CROWNED THE FASTEST CRAWLER IN TOWN! 🏆💨😂

The Diaper Derby was an absolute blast, and watching those little ones crawl, scoot, and race their way to the finish line was definitely a highlight! 💕 A huge thank-you to everyone who came out and cheered them on!

And of course, THANK YOU to all of the incredible Marigold Festival volunteers who worked so hard to make this event such a fun and memorable kickoff for our community. 🌼 We appreciate you more than you know!

So grateful for days like this in Pekin, Illinois—good food, good people, and lots of reasons to smile. ❤️

Sweet baby boy #2 is already so loved.

I’ve had the absolute honor of capturing both of Mom’s maternity sessions, and getting to watch her family grow is pretty special. She is just as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside, and somehow pregnancy looks so good on her.

We kept this session simple and beautiful with a little nature, golden light, and plenty of that beautiful mama glow.

A little piece of Mom, a little piece of baby girl.

One of my favorite things about this sweet newborn session was incorporating family turquoise into both Mom’s maternity session and baby girl’s newborn portraits—but in their own special way.

Mom wore her own meaningful pieces during her maternity session, and for baby girl’s session, she chose different turquoise pieces just for her. Two generations, two beautiful details, and so much family history woven into their photos.

This is why I love making newborn sessions personal. It’s not just about photographing a tiny baby—it’s about including the little things that make your family yours. The heirlooms, the memories, the details, and the love.

From maternity portraits to those first precious newborn days, these moments go by way too fast.

Some sessions just hit a little deeper 🤍

This sweet boy was wrapped in so much love today… not just from the arms around him, but from the memory of someone watching over him. Posed with his grandpa’s favorite deer — a quiet, powerful reminder that love doesn’t leave… it just changes how it shows up.

And let’s be honest… this little guy is already living his best life with TWO big sisters. Harper and Haisley have officially claimed their new role as full-time protectors, snack sharers, and professional snugglers.

A whole lot of love in one tiny frame.

Double the giggles, double the trouble… and maybe someday, double the ducks 🦆

These sweet twin girls are already pros at sticking together—whether it’s snuggles now or early mornings in a blind later on. Give them a few years and they might be trading bows for camo and bottles for thermoses

For now, it’s all soft blankets, tiny fingers, and matching cuddles… but something tells me these two are going to grow up a little wild, a little adventurous, and completely unstoppable
