Well, it’s that time of year! They’re out! This particular one is harmless to humans, but rough on rodents, certain insets , etc. They will; however, startle you.
I picked this one up while it was stretched out on the road.
It jumped to a coil when I reached, but willingly submitted when I got the tail. I put it down in some pine straw, and. Snapped into the wad you see here. The tail started vibrating rapidly in the pine straw making a buzz that sounded like a very lo volume rattle snake.
I left it, and came back a few minutes later n where to be found. What a wonderful example of God’s creation!
