A BTS look at a recent shoot. For this shoot, I was hired to film and send off the footage. The client requested for 24fps and no picture profile so I had to get it right directly in camera. I used my SmallHD Cine 7 and my SmallHD Cine 5 to really dial in exposure and color since those things are phenomenally accurate. I then used the Sony Monitor and Control app to get another look at how it looks on everyday screens. This was actually my first time using this app and it is amazing! I can easily control both cameras, monitor both cameras, and start and stop recording making life so much easier. I then used a longer 3.5mm cable to set the Holland receiver next to me while still inputting audio directly into the main cam. This helped me be much faster between scripts. I did the same with the Zoom F3 as well.
Speed between scripts was the upmost importance today as we had 4 hours of scripts to get through. Both cameras were connected to a Smallrig V mount to keep them rolling all day. I also turned off the SmallHD monitors after I got everything set since I was doing the rest of the monitoring on my iPad.
