This cake smash setup was such a perfect example of why the little details matter.
Mom saw the backdrop, had a vision, and brought it to life herself by creating this amazing cake to perfectly complement the set. The result was a beautifully coordinated session where everything came together just the way it should.
When planning your cake smash session, I always recommend using your backdrop as inspiration for the cake design. Whether you're making it yourself or working with a baker, sharing a photo of the setup can make a huge difference in the final look of your images.
A little preparation goes a long way, too. Some little ones absolutely love cake, while others aren't quite sure what to think about the frosting on their hands. If you're planning a cake smash, it can be helpful to let your baby explore a cupcake at home beforehand to see how they react.
This birthday boy, however, was all in. He absolutely destroyed this cake and gave us so many smiles along the way!
This family has chosen to keep their photos private, which I completely respect, but I couldn't resist sharing this beautiful setup as inspiration for future cake smash sessions. Every thoughtful detail helped create a truly memorable first birthday celebration. ❤️
