Fall family photos are one of those things that sound easy to schedule until you realize September, October, and November can have VERY different session times. 😂

In September, we still have those later evenings. By October, sunset starts creeping earlier. Then November hits, the clocks fall back, and suddenly we’re talking about late-afternoon sessions.

And when you’re working around school, sports, work schedules, dinner, and little-kid bedtimes, that difference matters.

Who says family photos have to happen in a field? 🛹

The Rowell family chose the skate park in Macon because it's a place that actually feels like them. Skateboards, band tees, tiny checkered Vans, lots of laughs, and kids free to just be kids.

That is exactly how I believe family sessions should feel.

Your session doesn't have to look like anyone else's. The best locations are often the ones that already hold pieces of your family's story.

A skate park.
A favorite hiking trail.
Your backyard.
The lake.
Downtown Macon.

Wherever your family naturally spends time together, that's where the magic happens.

If you've been worried your family is "too different" for traditional family photos, this is your reminder that your session can be built around your family instead of asking your family to fit someone else's idea of what it should look like.

Fall has a way of making an already full family calendar feel even busier.

School is back in session. The days are getting shorter. Dinner and bedtime still need to happen, and suddenly there are fewer hours of daylight available for family photos.

That is why planning ahead makes such a difference when scheduling fall family photos in Warner Robins.

For families who need an after-work session, September and October may offer more flexibility. Once the clocks change, weekend availability becomes especially valuable because the sun sets much earlier.

We’ll work together to find the sweet spot that gives us beautiful light without making the day unnecessarily stressful.

Fall session booking is almost here, and I wanted to share the release schedule so you know exactly when your access begins.

VIP repeat families: Thursday, August 6
All past families: Thursday, August 13
Public booking: Thursday, August 20

VIP families will have the first full week to reserve before booking opens to the rest of my past clients. Past families will then have their own week before the calendar opens to everyone.

You’ll be able to choose an available date right away or reserve your preferred month and finalize the exact date closer to your session.

October usually fills first, so keep an eye on your inbox and this group when your booking window opens.

Summer is moving fast. Like, really fast. One minute it's the first week out of school and the next you're buying folders and backpacks and wondering where the last two months went.

That's kind of why I put these together.

Summer Story Sessions are something a little different.

These are not meant to be polished family portraits. They're for the families who want to remember what summer actually felt like. Wet hair, bare feet, snack breaks, kids running through a field, creek water, pool towels, and all the little things that disappear when school starts back.

They still include the same calm guidance and planning support you'd get from any session with me, but the session itself is more activity-based and relaxed. We're building it around something you're already doing, or something your family loves.

Wardrobe is simple. Think swimsuits, play clothes, bare feet, sundresses, overalls, or whatever makes sense for what we're doing. No coordinating outfits required.

These are available for remaining July and August dates only, so if your family wants in, now is the time to grab a spot.

I sure do miss all the trees at location. They have all been cut down now sadly but the light was so stunning during golden hour.
