Some families have traditions. This family has… this. 😅😆

Maternity → newborn → ONE YEAR.

A baby has been born. A baby has grown. Seasons have changed. And somehow, this kid is STILL getting launched into the air at every session. 🤷🏼‍♀️

At this point, I don’t even ask. Dad walks in, knows the assignment, and apparently each session we just see how much higher the child can go. 💪🏻

The confidence this man has is truly unmatched because SIR. 😂 I cannot go through this family’s galleries without absolutely losing it over these photos.

I’ve photographed this family through so many seasons, and these are the kinds of photos that make me love what I do so much ! The beautiful ones, the sentimental ones… and the ones that become family tradition. 🤍

Same dad. Same kid. Same tradition. Zero hesitation.

At this point, we’re not even recreating a photo anymore. We’re documenting how much higher Dad is willing to go each year. ✨

When people ask what I do… how much time do you have? 😂

Mom of 5 first. Always. 🤍

And being a mom somehow comes with about 100 different job titles on its own. Add homeschooling five kids into the mix and I’m also a teacher, chauffeur, chef, nurse, house manager, scheduler, travel planner, soccer mom, personal shopper, activity coordinator… and whatever else the day requires. 😂

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I get to be a photographer and run a business that I love. 📸🤍 But if you own a small business, you know “photographer” means WAY more than just taking pretty pictures. It’s editing, emails, scheduling, bookkeeping, social media, content creation, marketing, client communication, planning sessions, ordering products, keeping a studio running… and a million little things nobody ever sees.

And then there’s church, life group, worship team, family time, friendships and doing life with people. 🤍 That’s not just another thing on my plate, it’s one of my favorite parts of life. I love being with people, building community, serving, laughing, gathering and just doing life together.

Add in appointments, errands, and just LIFE… and yep, it’s A LOT. 😅 Some days I genuinely don’t know how all the pieces fit into 24 hours.

But I’m so thankful for every bit of it. And out of every hat I wear, Mama will always be my favorite and most important. 🤍
