A few days ago, I looked at my husband and said, “We need anniversary pictures.” A few hours later(less than 4 to be exact), we were taking them. 😂

I pulled a dress from my client closet, raided my husband’s closet, curled my hair, packed up the kids, and headed out.

Brynna( our 11 year old daughter) ended up behind the camera for the evening. Of course, I set the locations, lighting, camera settings, and did a lot of “Okay, stand right here and keep shooting!” Even still she did such an amazing job.

Honestly, I thought we’d get a few good pictures and call it a day. 😂 I did not expect to love them this much. They ended up becoming some of my favorite photos we’ve ever taken.

A good reminder that sometimes you don’t need months of planning. Sometimes all you need is a free evening, the people you love, and the willingness to make the memory before the moment passes. 🤍

I was dreaming of a perfect golden hour for this session. Instead, it was cloudy, The entire time!
But the BLUE HOUR sky was a good trade off from the lack of that golden light. 🩷🩵💜
