Who doesn’t love a snuggly pony?!

From her owner
Her name is California Girl (Cali) and she’s a pony! She was a college project (barely broke!) I got when she was young and have had her for a decade. She jumped up to the 1.10s and has taught many of the now very accomplished juniors the ropes of the jumper ring. She’s also available for lease now actually 🙃

A little from the event. Meet Bodie....a 5yo rounded up from Devils Garden.

It would be nice if our government would allow these mustangs to live free on their native land. Each year, the Bureau of Land Management spends more than $80 million to round up thousands of mustangs with helicopters, and ship them to government holding pens where taxpayers pay to house and feed them. A very small percentage will be adopted, but most will remain in pens for life. Currently, there are over 50,000 wild horses stuck in these facilities.

Bodie was acquired through the BLM sponsored Trainer Incentive Program where certified trainers receive monetary incentives to help gentle and place mustangs.

Bodie took home several ribbons at this show! Fortunately Bodie has a forever home with Joan.
