So many amazing photos of the Northern Lights last night, so of course I have to throw a few of my favorites from last night! Last night they were bright enough to enjoy with the naked eye, but the camera can really bring out the colors.
These were all taken out at the Paint Mines in Calhan. All single shot exposures, 10-15 seconds each.

When people are pulling over on the road in Rocky Mountain National Park, do yourself a favor and pull over...chances are there is something worth looking at! This bear was spotted enjoying a fresh carcass!! It was overcast and raining, but was able to get a few pics!! You can even see his tounge out in one! These aren't wall hangers, but the memory remains!

Rifle Falls State Park boasts a few beautiful waterfalls! You can hike behind the falls, and even to the top of them. Highly recommend stopping by if you are on that side of the state.
Used long exposure and an ND filter to try and get the smooth water appearance.

Not a very eventful weekend for wildlife! Only spotted one big horn sheep in Colorado National Monument! Snapped a couple shots even though it was getting pretty dark. Spotted what I believe to be a Red Bellied Woodpecker hanging out on a utility pole, a stream loaded with young dragonflies, and friendly chipmunk at Rifle Falls State Park, along with a very vocal little bird keeping a watchful eye one me!

Had a great time exploring the Colorado National Monument. Pictures just can't do justice to the beauty and massive size...

A day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in hopes to find the moose twins, but they did not make an appearance! Did find one new momma with her little one!! Also spotted a nice bull moose enjoying dinner on our way out of the park.
