Never thought I would say I’m glad people completely forgot I existed but in this situation I absolutely am.

These two were so wrapped up in each other about ten minutes into the shoot that I basically blended into the shrubs and honestly that is the dream, that is what I’m always chasing, that is the version of an engagement session I want for every single couple I work with.

No counting down from three, no “okay now look at each other,” no one visibly thinking about what to do with their hands. Just two people completely in their element while I get to run around this stunning garden at golden hour losing my mind over every single frame (who wouldn’t)!

If your engagement session doesn’t feel like that, something is off and it’s probably not you. You deserve a photographer who makes you forget they’re there!! 🖤

From a lilac covered window ledge to the coast at golden hour, I wish I could live in this shoot forever!

Your engagement shoot should feel like a sneak peek into your actual life together. The places you love, the way you actually look at each other, the energy you have when nobody is telling you where to stand or what to do with your hands. It should feel so much like you that ten years from now you look back at these photos and get completely transported back to this exact season of your relationship, not like you’re looking at two stiff models who happen to be your dopplegangers

That is the whole point of this job for me. Not just pretty photos, but photos that actually feel like something when you look at them. If you have been thinking about booking your engagement session and you want it to feel like this, my inbox is open and I would love to make something together. 🖤

Pizza for your wedding dinner? 🍕✨🍸🪩
Say. Less. (As long as I can have a slice)

Can we normalize doing whatever the hell you want for your wedding and stopping the weird guilt around it? This is your reminder that “unconventional” and “classy” are NOT mutually exclusive. The vibes in this room were immaculate and I wish I could live in this moment forever!!

Here’s what I actually know after photographing as many weddings as I have: the ones that feel the most luxurious, the most elevated, the most stunning in photos aren’t always the ones that followed a strict template. They’re the ones where you could feel the couple everywhere you looked. The playlist, the food, the details, all of it just screaming “this is us!!”

So if you want pizza, do pizza. If you want to build your entire day around traditions that actually mean something to you, do that. If you’ve been googling destination weddings in Italy at midnight thinking “but what if we actually did that,” do that too (and please call me immediately if not sooner).

Your wedding should feel like you and your person bottled into a day. Whatever that looks like, just know I’m cheering you on. 🖤

Hey you! Yeah, you with the anxiety about being in front of a professional camera! This one is for you!!

Nervousness and anxiety surrounding your engagement shoot and wedding photos is totally normal, but just so ya know, it’s not a requirement 😉

Every single client I have worked with tells me the same 2 things:

1. I am nervous/ camera shy/ don’t know what to do with my hands, Wahhh!!

2. Oh, that was actually so fun and not awful at all, and I look SO GOOD!!?? WHAT??!!

Finding a photographer you trust and vibe with is so important - your shoot can, and should, feel like you’re hanging out with a friend!

This is your sign to make sure you choose a photographer for more than just their work (which is obviously super important too).

What’s also important is if you feel comfortable around them. Do you have similar senses of humor? Do you have similar values? Do they truly listen to you? Do they get to know you before the shoot?

What a photographer provides for you is so much more than the final gallery, don’t forget that! And if you watched this and you think I’m your vibe, I’d love to work with you!!

By the time most couples reach out to me, they don’t need more ideas because they’re already surrounded by endless inspiration. Think: Pinterest boards, saved posts, opinions from every direction. What they’re actually craving is clarity and the ability to take a deep breath.

What matters and what doesn’t? What will age well? What’s worth slowing down for and what can we breeze through?

High-end weddings are about doing things more efficiently and meaningfully. It’s about knowing where to focus the energy so the day feels intentional instead of overwhelming. Knowing which moments deserve space and which details don’t need to be overthought.

That discernment is what separates a wedding that feels curated from one that feels cluttered - and it’s something experience teaches you to recognize!

If you’re in a season where you’re less interested in trends and more interested in meaning, you’re already thinking about your wedding the right way 🤍

The couples who obsess over every single detail of their reception are my favorite kind of people and I’ll stand by that forever... because I’m also obsessing over every single detail.

The tablecloths, the florals, the menu that went through three rounds of tasting before it was right, the way the light hits the glassware during cocktail hour. Most guests notice these things for about thirty seconds before they get pulled into a conversation with someone they haven’t seen in years, which means if nobody photographed them properly you’re just supposed to remember it on your own.

That’s not good enough for me!!

You spent months on these details and they deserve to be in your gallery the same way your portraits do. This is exactly the kind of wedding I show up completely ready for and these images are why. 🖤

I have a confession... Jersey beaches and I have an ongoing love affair that will absolutely not be ending anytime soon - do you SEE these photos?!

There’s a reason I will always say yes to a beach session without even needing to see the location first, again, look at these photos. These two showed up completely themselves, completely comfortable with each other and completely unbothered by the camera (my literal dream!) No stiff posing, no awkward silences, no “okay now pretend you don’t see me” - just two people so wrapped up in each other that keeping up with them was genuinely the most fun I’ve had in weeks.

This is what your engagement session is supposed to feel like. Not a chore you check off the wedding planning list but an actual experience that you talk about for years after. I want you to feel like we’re hanging out and I randomly ended up taking pictures. If yours doesn’t feel like that, something is off and it’s probably not you. 🤍🌴🥥💍
