WEDDING DAY LET’S GET THESE TWO MARRIEDDDDDD!!!! As I texted Emily this morning, what a beautiful f% day for the g**s!!!
While getting ready this morning, I had a realization of my own full circle moment (the theme for this years Haddon Township Pride) that Emily found me from my first or second year photographing for Pride events and when she knew they would be proposing to Leah immediately reached out to me. Months in advance, Emily planned a weekend getaway for the two of them at the and a trip to Longwood Gardens, where she asked the question. In that time Bookhouse opened a venue and I’m pretty sure they were the first ones to ask when they could tour it lol. Now two years later, here they are getting married at , and they have trusted me to document their amazing day.
Is someone cutting onions, am I late on my T shot? 🤷‍♂️ IDK but let’s go party.

My favorite event of the year with and my 4th year sponsoring and photographing for them! Truly when I say there is nothing like HT Pride, I mean it. The community, the events, the entertainment, the joy - there has been no Pride events I’ve attended or marched in that compared to what I’ve gotten to experience with this group. And HTEI is not just there during Pride month, but is working with the community year round. They (also in collaboration with other local organizations) put on programs, experiences, scholarships, educational programs, food banks, and advocacy events throughout the year - anything to truly build and maintain community - and they grow more every year. What I expected to be a fun little Pride event actually turned into real connections with other community members and new friendships ❤️
Please absolutely come out and join June 4 and/or 5th, and to those of you in Philly, this is super easily accessible by Patco! You also won’t want to miss the one and only and .
June 4 is the parade and afterparty, June 5 is community night/quizzo and DRAG LIP SYNC BATTLE. And the best part, it’s at night so a great way to unwind from work AND not have to stand in the mid-day sun and heat.

Got up super early on an April morning to make the trek to NYC to meet up with K&D for their engagement session. What started off looking like rain and fog so thick I couldn’t see the Verrazano bridge, turned out to be a beautiful morning.
So many people ask what they should do or wear for their engagement session and I am forever suggesting making it a date day that is special to them, and wearing what feels comfortable and affirming to them. So we started at a subway stop, as New Yorkers do (and honestly thank God I was with people who know the subway system so I didn’t have to think too hard about the stops and connections). Then we walked to a favorite colorful coffee shop before heading to the waterfront and Marsha P Johnson Park.
It’s great way for clients to get portraits of themselves, but it’s also a great way for us to get to know more about each other, plans for the wedding day, and getting comfortable with the camera.
Excited for their wedding day at Switch House in Philly, especially since I know that they love love love hosting parties, I know it’s going to be an amazing day.

Engagement sessions don’t have to just be the two of you, and it doesn’t have to be overly formal, if that’s not who you are!

Ed and Brett’s year anniversary calls for sharing some more from their gay goth wedding day!!! These two know how to party and celebrate.

Sharing some scenes from working with last week to highlight their Restaurant Week ( with a special visit from ). They have so many great restaurants and businesses to frequent.
What’s really cool about working with them is the variety of work I get to do, and combining a mix of candids and detailed food photography. Getting to know many of the business owners personally has also been a great plus!

Ever wonder what photographers and wedding professionals do in their slower seasons? Maybe you have, maybe you haven’t 🤷‍♂️
During the busy season we spend a lot of time editing, working away from home at sessions, following up timelines and coordination calls, and we love it, but it does mean there’s other tasks to take care of later. Home projects, catching up with friends and family, updating websites and portfolios, going to wedding expos, testing out new gear, sleeping 😂.
My friend and colleague offered to organize a street photography walk, and I challenged myself to bring 1 camera and 1 lens, no additional gear at all. Not even a bag. Just my little Fujifilm XT-5 and the 33mm f/1.4.

A few weeks ago, I got to spend some time with H & P at (even on their day off) for their engagement session. The Tasty if you didn’t know, is a very cute vegan diner right in Philly. And now I actually have to go back when they are open for food service because their menu looks amazing.
Cozy, date like, engagement sessions are always a great choice for people to feel comfortable while also getting their photos taken. It’s also a great way for me to learn about they are as individuals and a couple, and for them to get to feel more comfortable with being in front of the camera. I really can’t wait for their amazing wedding day, though! 🎉

Oh hi, I heard there was going to be some snow this weekend! So thought we could share this sweet Philly proposal that happened in surprise flurry weather right after Christmas! I mean, look at the absolute joy! Plus, Addison Street is always a beautiful spot to stroll down day or night, summer or winter.
