On September 19, we’re bringing Aura Photography to one of our favorite Philadelphia spaces for an afternoon of color, curiosity, and a little self-reflection.

Meet Lindsay and her gorgeous auras! 

Lindsay is a breathwork guide, a death doula, and a plant wizard, which tells you most of what you need to know about her. She has spent her life walking toward the things people avoid. Grief, endings, the hard middle part. She doesn’t flinch. She’s a seeker by nature and she’s built a whole life out of helping people move through the parts nobody prepares you for, so they come out the other side a little more connected and carrying a little less.

Now look at her aura photographs - taken before and after a Breathwork Journey.

Going in, she’s carrying orange and red, but a bit muted - a tad depleted. That’s a woman who has been giving. Orange is creative energy and the part of you that stays open to other people. When those colors go dim, it usually means someone has been pouring out for a while.

Coming out, everything turned up. Sunshine yellow on her masculine side, the part of her that moves out into the world and does the work. Orange on the feminine side, the part that receives and restores. Both are vivid and alive. When she saw it, she said she felt more herself in that moment, and honestly, that’s the reading right there. She didn’t become someone new. She came back to herself.

A Light Study from Maker’s Table

We’re always curious about what happens when you put a group of people together who are all creating, dreaming, building, and making something of their own.

So naturally, we wanted to see what that looked like in aura form.

These are a few of the fields we captured at Maker’s Table, each one completely different, but together creating a pretty beautiful snapshot of the energy in the room. Some bold and expressive, some grounded and thoughtful, some that seemed to say I have 17 ideas and I’m already working on all of them.
This is what we love about Light Studies: taking a moment, looking a little closer, and noticing the energy people bring with them.
