DREAMBOAT ALERT! Ace the Boxer mix might be the most adorably affectionate shelter dog I’ve ever met! What a great temperament this barely one-year-old boy has! He’s gentle and friendly with all creatures, walks beautifully on leash, and his silly and playful ways will make you laugh and warm your heart.

Incredibly, Ace was abandoned and found as a stray. He wants very much to connect with a new person or family. Potential first-time dog owner? This could be your sign!

Peaches has been through a lot but still has so much to offer. She suffered with a bullet lodged in her left front wrist for a long time until she was brought to the shelter where they were able to amputate the leg and relieve her pain. Her adaptable and affectionate ways have made her a favorite among shelter staff — they even got her a collar with peaches on it which you can see in her photos!

With her striking black muzzle and fawn coat paired with a compact, stockier build, Peaches looks exactly as you’d expect for a cross between a Malinois and a Pit Bull. She fully enjoyed her Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon, gamely forging ahead over roots and rocks along the trail — being a tripod barely slows her down. A loyal guardian, she has shown she can be protective of her people, but she was relaxed and calm during her outing, unfazed by everyone we encountered.

QUICK, somebody adopt this little man before I do! One-year-old Pekingese mix (maybe with a Chihuahua or Pomeranian?) Boss has that little something extra called charisma — an easy-going, can-do personality that makes everything seem a little easier to bear.

He certainly posed like a boss during his Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon. He is, however, a truly gentle soul — a big sweetheart in a little body who's ready to connect with you and cuddle. As you can see, he’s so game and biddable, I couldn’t stop making photos of him!

UPDATE: SONNY'S ADOPTION FEE IS BEING WAIVED now through May 17th!

Say hello to Sonny the Cuddler! Three-year-old Sonny is a strikingly handsome, jet black Staffordshire Terrier who took everything in stride during his Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon.

Since Sonny’s a dog who's eager to explore, I was surprised when he was so very happy to chill on the bench, give kisses, and cuddle! He loves treats, responds well to requests, and nothing much bothers him so he should be easy to train. (He's already potty trained.)

UPDATES! Want to share with you some good news on this Mother’s Day!

Three more dogs I’ve photographed with the cooperation of the Montgomery County SPCA - PA have recently found loving homes! It’s rewarding to contribute to the efforts of a group of people who show up every day to improve the lives of animals and enrich the community.

Happy journey to Pappy, Missy, and most recently, Freya, and their new families!

Do you love a super smart dog? JACKSON is soooo smart and tuned in, I was able to make an extra lot of fun photos of him during his Adoption Glamour Shots session in the Wissahickon.

He’s got so much to offer, I’ve dubbed him Total Package Jackson!

It’s hard to understand why this handsome young (16 months) Pit Bull Terrier has been overlooked at the shelter. In addition to being extra smart, he’s highly athletic, playful — and if he decides you’re one of the good guys — very affectionate. He gives you a wide smile and holds eye contact with his beautiful light green eyes as he leans in close for a cuddle.

Distinguished Denver knows what's up: He loves a good chest rub so much I had to pause during his Adoption Glamour Shots session because I couldn’t bring myself to interrupt his bliss!

Denver is a Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever mix, and the Pyr is strong in him. Pyrenees are a centuries-old guardian dog whose job is to stay with and protect their flock from wolves and bears — so their patience and courage are legendary. Be sure to give this 9-year-old gentleman a minute to check the surroundings and give everything a good sniff before he turns his sweet attention to you. While he’s at it, you can check out the cool splotches of caramel color on the backs of his ears.

WHY oh WHY has Jax been overlooked for so long at the shelter?? He was such a calm and responsive gentleman during his Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon!

He enjoyed our company, loved exploring, walked soooo nicely on leash, and was happy to shake hands and even stand like a BOSS so we could show off his fit little bod — seven years is looking good on this compact Pit Bull Terrier!

P.S. Be sure to notice the very cute cookies-and-cream white spotty socks on his feet!
