UPDATE: SONNY'S ADOPTION FEE IS BEING WAIVED now through May 17th!

Say hello to Sonny the Cuddler! Three-year-old Sonny is a strikingly handsome, jet black Staffordshire Terrier who took everything in stride during his Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon.

Since Sonny’s a dog who's eager to explore, I was surprised when he was so very happy to chill on the bench, give kisses, and cuddle! He loves treats, responds well to requests, and nothing much bothers him so he should be easy to train. (He's already potty trained.)

UPDATES! Want to share with you some good news on this Mother’s Day!

Three more dogs I’ve photographed with the cooperation of the Montgomery County SPCA - PA have recently found loving homes! It’s rewarding to contribute to the efforts of a group of people who show up every day to improve the lives of animals and enrich the community.

Do you love a super smart dog? JACKSON is soooo smart and tuned in, I was able to make an extra lot of fun photos of him during his Adoption Glamour Shots session in the Wissahickon.

He’s got so much to offer, I’ve dubbed him Total Package Jackson!

It’s hard to understand why this handsome young (16 months) Pit Bull Terrier has been overlooked at the shelter. In addition to being extra smart, he’s highly athletic, playful — and if he decides you’re one of the good guys — very affectionate. He gives you a wide smile and holds eye contact with his beautiful light green eyes as he leans in close for a cuddle.

Distinguished Denver knows what's up: He loves a good chest rub so much I had to pause during his Adoption Glamour Shots session because I couldn’t bring myself to interrupt his bliss!

Denver is a Great Pyrenees and Labrador Retriever mix, and the Pyr is strong in him. Pyrenees are a centuries-old guardian dog whose job is to stay with and protect their flock from wolves and bears — so their patience and courage are legendary. Be sure to give this 9-year-old gentleman a minute to check the surroundings and give everything a good sniff before he turns his sweet attention to you. While he’s at it, you can check out the cool splotches of caramel color on the backs of his ears.

WHY oh WHY has Jax been overlooked for so long at the shelter?? He was such a calm and responsive gentleman during his Adoption Glamour Shots photo session in the Wissahickon!

He enjoyed our company, loved exploring, walked soooo nicely on leash, and was happy to shake hands and even stand like a BOSS so we could show off his fit little bod — seven years is looking good on this compact Pit Bull Terrier!

P.S. Be sure to notice the very cute cookies-and-cream white spotty socks on his feet!

Roman is a uniquely beautiful chocolate color and almost as sweet! He’s this week’s extra handsome Adoption Glamour Shots adoptable dog.

Roman is just a baby, an 18-month-old Staffy Bull Terrier mix who wants to be your one-and-only. With an incredibly expressive face and rich chocolate-brown coat — complete with classic patch over one eye — Roman is a real head-turner. He’s also a “leaner” who’ll press his shoulder against your leg, melting into bliss when you give him a good butt rub! Whether you’d like a walking buddy or a chill cuddle bug who'll make you laugh with his numerous goofy expressions, Roman is ready.

Meet Freya, the total (large) package! She’s this week's Adoption Glamour Shots featured adoptable dog.

Freya is a four-year-old American Pit Bull who will calmly soak up all the attention you can give her and give her devotion in return. She walks nicely on leash, is housebroken, and has done well with meeting other dogs. She’s a gentle girl who’s not too intense but will quickly show you her playful side if you ask her!

Who’s ready for their own little Lion King? Adorably scruffy Staffy mix Pappy is this week's Adoption Glamour Shots featured adoptable dog.

Pappy's a thoughtful guy who doesn’t rush or pull on the leash, he's a stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of man who deeply breathes everything in and considers it carefully. When Pappy finally wags his tail in response to a pet or a treat, the warm fuzzies you get are that much warmer. He headed back from his hike, photo shoot, and cuddle with an extra bounce in his step!

Missy has a new name! 😀 A few weeks ago, I made adoption glamour shots of this petite Pit mix from the Montgomery County SPCA - PA . She's just been adopted and her new name is Willow! A perfect name for this gentle soul. Check out a photo in the comments made by the shelter of the happy pair.
