Kurt Vile photographed for Philadelphia Magazine, July 2026 issue.

The new album “Philadelphia’s Been Good to Me” dropped last month and he’s on tour now - playing here in Philly at The Dell this Saturday!

It was a total pleasure meeting and having Kurt in studio for this portrait session.
We talked about the Dirty Three show the night before, about his “bobo” guitar, about the structural integrity of glass beer bottles, parenthood, King Kong (heyba heyba)… and about all the color variants of the new vinyl record– Schuylkill River Blue (lol), Wissahickon Green, and Wooder Ice Red.

Thanks for making time Kurt Vile and thanks to everyone Philadelphia Magazine for the assignment.

Hi everyone! I was tasked with documenting the New Jersey Pine Barrens for a long form feature in Philadelphia Magazine (Secrets of the Pines, May 2026).

Shot between late last summer and early this spring, the work approaches the region as both a travel story and a kind of love letter to a place that’s often misunderstood and overlooked. For many, the Pine Barrens are just the stretch between the city and the Shore, but there's so much more - even magical - especially if you know what to look for. Through landscapes, details, and portraits, the project aims to capture the character, beauty, and sense of place that make the Pinelands so unique.

In a series of posts, Pinelands Alliance and I are teaming up to share more of the images I captured for this project (there's a lot, lol). Stay tuned for a deep dive into the Pines!

I had the pleasure of photographing Paul Farber of for an interview feature in the May 26 issue of Philly Mag. Paul curated the current "Rising Up: Rocky and the Making of Monuments" exhibit at the Art Museum of Philadelphia.

Shooting a portrait on the steps inside the museum with the iconic "Diana" statue in the background was a real treat. It's a big, magnificent space... putting a normal sized human in there and lining up an angle that'll show them both off is exactly the kind of challenge that rings my bell!

Much thanks to Paul Farber for making my job easy and the folks at for the opportunity.

I'm looking forward to visiting the "Rising Up" exhibit at the Art Museum this weekend. 💥 👊 💥
