What is more magical than the never ending and all encompassing love that creates the very foundation for your family? Trick question. Nothing 🥹💕
I count my blessings every single day. And I mean that. Including these blessings — the ones where I get to spend time photographing the families I have come to know over the years. And also the ones where I get to watch these littles grow, become stronger, a little taller, and even more full of life than they were before (which seems impossible every time I walk away from a session but here we are!).
I am so grateful for this perfect trio. Craig, Katie, and Bodhi actually live down the street from me so I am privileged enough to get to watch Bodhi grow and grow and grow in real time but sometimes I still have to get over the shock of how much bigger he’s gotten since jet photos! I love getting to experience the world from his perspective. Listening to the sounds that may seem mundane, but they’re not. They’re magnificent. Feeling the weight of a rock in my hand. The way the shutter on my camera reverberates throughout the entire camera and through my hands. All these things I have learned from Bodhi. Oh, and the true definition of a genuine smile that puts me in a puddle every time I see it. The perfect picture of joy is Bodhi’s face when Craig makes him fly!

Mini sessions are up to half an hour with any images that turns out returned and are currently on sale for $175 (normally $250 and image return will be limited to 15 images starting December 1st!) until Sunday, November 30th at 9pm.

What. A. Perfect. Day. From the meticulously matched tie all the way down to the socks. Every single detail was perfectly planned, perfectly executed, and perfectly achieved.
Getting to float around and watch these two be celebrated and lifted up by everyone they love was the perfect Saturday night. Belly laughs all around. Mirror selfies. Inside jokes. And this is just the beginning of such a precious love story.

Why do I love capturing weddings so much?
Because of moments like this. There are two generations of love in this photo, celebrating the start of a third. Everyone who loves you comes to celebrate your love and that should be photographed and cemented into your life. You deserve to have those moments somewhere forever. Our memory fades over time, but when you have something like this to look back on, it could never. You’ll remember it clear as day the second you lay your eyes on each and every photos. It’ll feel like yesterday on your on every wedding anniversary. These kinds of moments can’t be posed or fabricated. Weddings are as candid as they come. And that’s what I love.

I am buried in galleries and honestly, I’m not mad. I’m grateful. I know I say this a lot, but I mean it. The gratitude I feel for each and every single bride that has entrusted me with something so deeply personal feels extraordinary. And I hope you all know just how fortunate I am to work with you. How thankful I am to have such a sacred opportunity to create with you. To capture. To be able to give these moments a sense of permanence.

Who you hire truly does matter. No matter the budget, the wedding photographer should be where you splurge and here’s why:

1. They will notice things that could never be on a shot list. Your mom wiping the tears from her cheeks as you walk towards the love of your life. The way your grandmother holds your hand while she tells you how perfect you look. That one little girl who is so sure you are a real life princess and wants you to know it.

2. They’re not afraid to step in. Whether it was being a slight distraction for a bride during an emergency so she could enjoy her day, steaming dresses, or loading up my trunk with wedding supplies, I have always and will always make it a point to step in. Stepping in to help. To reduce as much stress as I can. To bring calm to the space. I’m your photographer but my role does not stop there.

3. They’re well versed in reinforcing boundaries. Sometimes eager family members want to take photos of your day, and that is so okay. But maybe you have expressed that you want everyone to be able to relax and that’s why you invited me. This occasionally needs to be said by the photographer to help excited guests and family members understand what I am there for and they won’t miss anything by letting me do what you paid me to do 😉

4. They will stop at nothing to get that one shot you can’t live without. I will do every single thing in my power to make sure your dream photo (or photos!) are in your gallery. This is a once in a lifetime experience. And hiring someone that understands that is make or break. I specialize in documentation photography so the understanding of no do-overs is not lost on me and we will get that shot.
