Quiet moments.

Birds.
Wildflowers.
Trails.
Red rocks.
Trees.
Rivers.
Community.

This place has a slower pace feeling.

Amongst the tourist and crowds who crave a sense of grounding, this place has a magical presence to it.

7 months now I’ve been wandering, capturing details, movement, and genuine connection.

I have so much more to share, so follow along to receive a little magic at your fingertips. 🏜️✨🌼

I know understand what my neighbor told me… 👇🏽

The other day I had a friendly chat with my new neighbor and he told me he’d been living here for 9 years. He said at first he wasn’t quite sure if Sedona was a HOME for him. How he thought it was just a travel through town until his partner asked him to try it for one year.

One year passed and he’s like, okay let’s do another, and then another passed, next thing you know, it’s 9 years later.

He said that Sedona has this special thing where it “gives back to you”. The red rocks, nature, and landscape gives back in a way that leaves you … happy.

The wildlife here is ABUNDANT and the seasons of this specific desert vs. something down south like Pheonix or Tucson.

It’s green and desert in the most beautiful way and don’t get me started on the scent the juniper trees give off. it’s WONDERFUL!!

All this to say, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing 7 months of my life here so far and I still have a couple more.

Here are some photographs I’ve taken that I think will showcase its beauty 🏜️🌼🌿✨

What do you think , did I do justice?☺️

As always, make sure you follow leave no trace and respect wildlife, local communities, and the land 🌿

Tread mindfully.

There are so many wildflowers everywhere 🌼🌿👇🏽

I have been asked many times where the best trails are to find flowers right now, and while you can truly find them everywhere I wanted to give you a couple of my favorite trails.

Make sure that if you do end up coming to see them you don’t pick them. Take photos and admire the but don’t step off trail to fragile soil and leave things (nature) how you found it.🌼🌿

📌I hope this helps, save this for future planning!

Lately I’ve been living playing with creativity,

With so many wildflowers popping up all over Sedona, I’ve had such a fun time showcasing these beauties in a unique way. So called “painting” the wildflowers with my “brush” that is my camera. Throughout my photography journey, I’ve evolved in my storytelling. How to use different storytelling elements such as framing, coverage, and motion to evoke a sense of feeling, whatever that may be.

For these I used a slow shutter technique to create this effect and this is the result of that. With proper timing, lighting, and hand movement, I was able to create something unique. Something I would want printed and hung on my wall at home.

I hope you enjoy this series as I have a lot of photography coming from my 6 month stay here so far…. So much to share, so little time haha

So what do you think? Should I share more of my creative photographs?
