Took a backwoods boat tour through the Everglades today and WOW… there is so much wildlife hiding out here 🛶🐊💛
Cruising through the mangroves and learning more about this wild ecosystem made me realize just how much life is tucked away in these waterways. Birds everywhere, incredible scenery, and yes… even crocodiles 😳🐊
The Everglades feels like one giant nature documentary happening in real life, and every turn brings something unexpected. Definitely one of the coolest ways to experience this place ✨

Ended the day in the Everglades and honestly… watching the birds return at sunset felt a little magical 🌅🦅💛
As the sky changed colors, flocks of birds slowly made their way back over the water and into the mangroves. One of those quiet moments that makes you stop talking, slow down, and just watch.

Spent the day crawling through the mangroves in the Everglades and wow… what an experience 🌿🛶💛

Still learning the ropes (literally 😆), taking in the birds, and figuring out how to slow down enough to really notice all the beauty around me. Between the peaceful water, tangled mangroves, and wildlife everywhere, this place feels wild in the best possible way.

Visited the Everglades Alligator Farm today and yes… they actually allow dogs 🐶🐊😆
The whole time I was like, “Ummm… are we sure this is a good idea?” because with THAT many gators around, my Chihuahua suddenly felt extra tiny 😂💛
Jokes aside, it was such a fun stop—so many alligators, interesting exhibits, and one of the most uniquely Florida experiences ever. Definitely kept a very close eye on my little adventure buddy the whole time 😅

Today’s adventure had a little bit of everything… history, mystery, and WAY more gators than expected 🐊😆💛

Explored the old Prohibition-era trails tied to Al Capone and wandered through the wild beauty of Big Cypress National Preserve. Between the swampy scenery, cypress trees, and wildlife around every corner, this place feels like stepping into another world.

And the gators?! Let’s just say there were SO many that eventually I stopped counting 😅 Definitely one of those Florida experiences you don’t forget anytime soon.

📬🦨 Smallest Post Office in the U.S. + Skunk Ape Shenanigans

Made a stop at the smallest post office in the U.S. — and yes, it’s every bit as tiny and quirky as you’d imagine 📬 The little post office in Ochopee is actually a fully operating USPS location and has become one of Florida’s most fun roadside stops.
Then things got even weirder (in the best way) at the Skunk Ape Headquarters — because apparently Florida has its own version of Bigfoot 🦨😂 From cryptid stories to quirky roadside vibes, this stop was way too fun not to check out. The headquarters was created by the Shealy family and has become a classic Everglades roadside attraction.

Roadside oddities + Florida weirdness = my kind of adventure ✨

Some serious bird nerd dreams came true at Ding Darling 🦉🩷📸
Found a screech owl — my FIRST owl ever spotted in the wild (!!) and honestly, I was way too excited 😄 And then… a roseate spoonbill?! Definitely one of my bucket list birds. That pink color in real life is unreal.
Were there bug bites? Yes.
Was I sweaty and possibly questioning my life choices for a minute? Also yes 😂
Was it 1000% worth it? ABSOLUTELY 💛
Moments like this are exactly why I love wildlife adventures 🦅✨
