When she was mid-way through high school her parents decided to trade snow boots for flip flops and they all moved to sunny Arizona. Ali's love for photography really took off during her college years at the University of Arizona when she would go on road trips with her friends and take pictures along the way. All of a sudden you'd hear her yell "stoppppp!" and the car would come to a screeching h

alt in order to capture something only Ali had the eye to see while going 45 m.p.h. down a dirt road in the middle of nowhere. Ever since, Ali has been dragging her husband and friends all over the country to capture some of God's most wonderful sites. She does not shy away from waking up her best friend at 3 a.m. to catch the sunrise at the Grand Canyon, or making her husband go on an 8 mile hike. Did I mention he was in flip flops? In the dark... just so she could get a breathtaking shot of lava flowing into the ocean while vacationing in Hawaii. As the not-so-early-morning-person best friend writing this, I'll say we don't mind going along with Ali's crazy ideas just to get to experience such wonderful sites - "anything for a picture" we say...

Brand loyal to Nikon, Ali loves shooting with a D7000 camera. She enjoys photographing nature more than anything else, especially when traveling to new places. And after several years of sharing her wonderful pictures with only family and friends, Ali has decided to start sharing her pictures with a larger crowd and turning her love for photography into more than just a fun hobby! Good morning everyone! Sometimes I wake up and dream about a morning like this one. This was in the middle of July but being from Arizona I considered this a cold morning. Much like the morning temps of fall or winter here. The water was like glass and created this perfect reflection of the sky. Not a single soul was up (except for my sweet husband). Just us and this beautiful sunrise.
I often catch myself in awe of the beauty He has created. I find myself either taking 1000 photos a minute or barely any at all. Why is there never an in-between?

Tell me do you take too many or not enough photos? Where do they all go? I can only imagine my online storage size in 30 years. 😬

Waking up early to watch God paint the mountains with light will never get old. There is something so beautiful about sunrise and I am totally there for it! Is it the promise of another day, the stillness of the earth, the thrill of hunting for beauty like this, or just the hope of coffee later!? Can't decide but who says I have to!!

So incredibly proud of this sweet young beauty! Can anyone believe my baby cousin just graduated high school? 😱 Where has the time gone!! Feeling totally blessed she chose me to take her senior photos! Can't wait to share more cuz they are stunning!
