a moth to a flame, i didn’t think, i just flew.
and i go way back to 2017 when our careers in fashion started. creating back then felt like alot less pressure, and just alot more fun in general. we set off in our own ways to continue the pursuit of perfecting our crafts. her with modeling, and i with photography. we hadn’t shot together in about 5 years when this impromptu shoot fell into our laps. i was immediately taken aback by how inhibiting and truly magnetizing her craft had become. don’t get me wrong, she’s always been talented and so so stunning. this felt different in every magical way possible. the way she connects with the camera, and looks beyond it and into the eyes of whoever is watching blew me away. when i fall into the stresses of the daily routine and life in general, my art can definitely feel like a lot more added pressure to perform and be perfect. i will then turn to praying for the hope to keep pressing on, keep improving, keep creating. i always, ask for a sign that it’s working, that my destiny is still aligned with my present moment. this was that for me. what may seem like a mock denim campaign truly changed my outlook forever. thank u savannah, you are the definition of a muse.
