UFC Fight Night Seattle was a jam-packed spectacle with Henry Cejudo and Song Yadong closing out the night! Cejudo and Song put on a show, going back and forth for the first 3 rounds. Song would go on to win by decision after the 3rd round when Cejodu could no longer continue due to an eye poke. An anticlimactic finish to an otherwise electric evening in the Climate pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.

As a born-and-raised Phoenician, it hurts to see my AZ Coyotes play on ESPN under their new team name, the Utah Hockey Club... but those players deserve better than their former owner ever provided.
Watching them play on national TV made me reminisce on the 3 seasons I was lucky enough to work for the NHL and cover their games at Gila River Arena in Glendale and Mullett Arena in Tempe. During that entire 3-season stretch, I had access to a photo hole for a total of 3 or 4 periods! I had to be resourceful and creative to get my shot list done each game and most games that meant I looked like a weirdo with a 400mm, shooting from the concourse level! I made due and was still able to make some cool images but it was just another way I had to roll with the punches to be successful in this industry.
Nothing comes easy, and that's my greatest takeaway from my time with the NHL!
