NYC day 1 - walk through Union Square from the apartment, then off to the Flat Iron building (shame it is covered in scaffolding). Brief appearance on Jamaican radio then the Harry Potter shop, a wee market and the Beastie Boys mural on 1st AVE on the way home.

Love the contrast between old and new here. The lovely sky is great contrast to the warmth of the building and crane too 😍

The building was opened in 1888 and boasts "more marble than the Vatican". I dont know if thats true or a slight exaggeration. I do know it has the largest marble staircase in Europe.
