I've never been a huge fan of studio lighting. I've always preferred the random, unpredictable lighting coming from that big fiery ball in the sky (aka the sun). Last week, Tyler came by to help film some promotional videos for my dad's business. We have a photo studio set up for photographing products. I took advantage of Tyler's presence and our studio after we finished filming to experiment with some studio portraiture. Im still not a huge fan of studio work, but it was fun to play around. :)

Hey yall! Sorry I haven't been posting much. I was in San Diego with my church this weekend and spent the week prior getting all the homework done for the summer class I am currently taking.

I was elected as a chaperone for the CBC Youth Choir's trip to San Diego. The kids were performing at La Jolla Presbyterian Church on Sunday but the two days prior were packed with fun activities such as SeaWorld and a beach day. Here's an iPhone photo from the day we spent at the beach. Needless to say, it was a pretty groovy weekend! :)

Tyler is one of my best friends and I love him to pieces. Sadly, he's moving away this summer and we wanted to squeeze in a photo shoot before he left and before it got too warm outside. We spent the afternoon meandering around Tempe Town Lake, got dinner at Steak n' Shake, and then spent the evening do some cool low-light portraits. It was a fun day indeed and Im bummed he's moving. :(
